The The Rabbinical Alliance of America — Igud HaRabbonim, representing over 950 rabbis across North America — expresses its unwavering support for the State of Israel in its ongoing fight against Hamas and its commitment to the safe return of the 50 Israeli hostages still being held captive by the terrorist group. These hostages, who have endured over 660 days of brutality, have been victims of Hamas’s terror, and the RAA calls for their immediate release.
The RAA is appalled by the baseless condemnation of Israel from certain individuals and nations who continue to spread misinformation about the conflict. These voices, often ignorant of the facts, wrongly accuse Israel of aggression while ignoring the undeniable truth: Hamas initiated this war with unprovoked violence and has systematically targeted civilians through murder, abduction, and torture.
“It is unconscionable that the world continues to judge Israel while 50 innocent people remain in the hands of terrorists,” said Rabbi Ya’akov Klass, Presidium Chair of the RAA. “The moral clarity of this situation could not be sharper. This war could have ended long ago had Hamas surrendered and released the hostages. Instead, they prolong the suffering, not only of Israelis but also of their own people, while cynically using human lives as shields and bargaining chips.”
The RAA calls upon all governments and institutions worldwide to stand firmly with Israel and to support its right and responsibility to defend its citizens. We demand the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages held by Hamas and urge the international community to hold Hamas accountable for its war crimes and atrocities.
This is a time for truth and moral courage. The world must reject the false narratives and moral equivalencies that seek to delegitimize Israel’s defense and embolden terrorism. Standing with Israel is not merely a political stance. It is a stand for justice, human dignity, and the rule of law.
