The Rabbinical Alliance of America—Igud HaRabbonim, representing over 950 Orthodox rabbis across North America—expresses deep disappointment in the Heritage Foundation for its failure to stand firmly against antisemitism at a time when moral clarity is essential.
Now more than ever, we see that antisemitism leads directly to anti-Americanism. The same forces that spread hatred of Jews also undermine the values of liberty, justice and truth upon which this nation was built. The Jewish community looks to its allies to help combat hateful conspiracy theories that corrode public trust and damage the social fabric of our country.
The once-great Heritage Foundation, long respected as a pillar of conservative thought and a defender of American ideals, has proven that it cannot presently be counted among those allies. Promoting antisemitism and its purveyors is not neutrality; it is endorsement. An organization that tolerates and amplifies antisemitic voices abandons moral responsibility and betrays the American ideals it claims to defend.
Rabbi Yaakov Klass, Presidium Chairman of the Rabbinical Alliance of America, stated: “When respected institutions excuse or promote antisemitism, they corrode the moral foundations of our nation. America’s strength has always rested on truth and decency. To tolerate hatred against Jews is to invite the unraveling of those very ideals.”
We call on all Americans who cherish this great nation to stand for truth and peace. The fight against antisemitism is not a Jewish cause alone; it is an American cause. To defend the Jewish people is to defend the moral conscience of America itself.
