Honored colleagues of Igud HaRabbonim, with your help we will have the opportunity to allocate tens of millions of dollars toward Torah projects and influence policy toward Torah Judaism.
Three leaders of the Igud — Rav Yaakov Klass, Rav Meir Melnicke and Rav Mendy Mirocznik — will be running as delegates on the ERETZ HAKODESH slate of the upcoming World Zionist Organization (WZO) election. It is important that Torah Jews have influence at the WZO.
Please sign up and sign the petition for our slate. This is an easy task that can impact many Yidden in positive ways. Important: the less influence we have, the more influence non-Orthodox Jews will have which R”L can lead to disastrous results.
We need your help. Please see below for instructions. Thank you.

INSTRUCTIONS FROM RABBI PESACH LERNER
The WORLD ZIONIST ORGANIZATION (WZO) CONGRESS, also known as the Parliament of the Jewish People, is the only democratic opportunity for all American Jews to influence and determine the policies and spending priorities of the $800 million budget of Israel’s national organizations; including the World Zionist Organization (WZO), the Jewish Agency for Israel, Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael-Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF), and Keren HaYasod. The Congress, comprised of 500 delegates, meets in Jerusalem every five years.
In previous elections, liberal, non-Orthodox, often anti-Orthodox organizations had strong voter turnouts, received more delegates, and have had a major influence on those Israel national institutions, TOO OFTEN TO THE DETRIMENT OF THE TORAH COMMUNITY, especially in Eretz Yisrael.
Under the direction of Gedolei Yisrael, in the United States and Israel, we formed a new slate, ERETZ HAKODESH, with a potential delegate list of committed Torah Jews. (Please note: per WZO rules, every fourth delegate must be under 35, and 3 out of every 10 delegates must be female).
Currently, the United States has 145 delegates in the WZO Congress, the largest single delegation outside Israel. A strong election turnout among American Orthodox Torah Jews will earn us many delegate positions, which will enable us to fill board and leadership positions in Israel’s national organizations to influence and affect policy and activity on the Israel society and the global Jewish agenda. A strong election turnout will also allow us a voice in the allocation of financial and other resources to various organizations in Israel and across the world. We need to ensure that financial resources will flow to Torah organizations and causes, and not to anti-Torah endeavors.
The 38th World Zionist Congress is scheduled to meet in Jerusalem in October 2020; the elections, to determine the size of the various delegations that will attend, are scheduled to be held online from January 21 to March 11, 2020.
We ask that you register, pay the required $7.50 registration fee, sign the petition to enable ERETZ HAKODESH to run, that you encourage others to sign the petition, and that you vote in the election.
Please see the instructions to register and sign the petition, below.
