Five years ago, Rav Shmuel Kamenetsky shlit”a sent a letter to Rav Chaim Kanievsky zt”l to clarify his view on voting in the WZO elections. Rav Chaim replied that it is proper to vote. Here is the letter typed out. The Yeshiva World has the handwritten letter and an English translation:
