לכבוד הרבנים החשובים שליט״א
שלום רב וברכת כל טוב סלה!
Let me begin with two points: 1) this will be very brief 2) this is NOT at all a political statement of any kind.
I am sure by now you have all heard about the organization called “Eretz Hakodesh”. You may have also heard or read that there has been some objections raised in certain Rabbinic circles about participating in this organization.
While this may be accurate, my personal involvement began with a directive from one of my Rabbeim, Harav Dovid Feinstein zt”l who personally asked me to get involved. I also spoke to two of the Gedolei Hador in the past years, Harav Chaim Kanievsky zt”l & Harav Gershon Edelstein zt”l who both encouraged me to be involved as well. Recently I met with Harav Moshe Hillel Hirsch shlita who spoke even stronger about the vital work of Eretz Hakodesh.
Having said that, the organization that has grown so quickly & effectively over the last several years, now has the opportunity to be able to make a significant impact on events in Eretz Yisroel for the next five years.
Those of us who are old enough to remember the colossal devastation that the reform movements bright upon Klal Yisroel in the 50’s & 60’s are somewhat comforted that they have very little impact anymore here in the U.S. However they have not yet disappeared from the scene.
They are throwing everything that they have left, financial resources & powerful influences in the secular governmental circles to wreak havoc on the growing Chareidi population in Eretz Yisroel. And there is no one trying to stop them effectively other than Eretz Hakodesh.
I personally have seen the internal memos submitted to the WZO (world Zionist organization)by the reform movement pushing every possible radical agenda into society in Eretz Yisroel. The dangerous outcome on their plans will have an effect upon every Chareidi family in Eretz Yisroel if left unchecked.
Although they do need to raise serious monies for the current election campaign, they are NOT asking the Rabbonim to do that, or to make political connections for them, they ONLY need the Rabbonim to bring to the attention of their baalei batim the need to vote when the election begins before Purim.
By becoming a member of the Eretz Hakodesh slate, it allows them to have more representation to be able to direct millions of dollars of the WZO budget to yeshivohs, seminaries, social programs for the Chareidi families & also to assist Chareidi families who would like to consider Aliya but need a stronger religious infrastructure to assist them. If not successful, then these very funds will be used instead to support every type of left wing anti religious activity in Eretz Hakodesh.
I have taken the liberty to attach to this email some general information about Eretz Hakodesh & how to become a delegate & an explanation of what a delegate’s responsibilities are. Signing up takes just a few minutes to do & there is no costs involved (other than a $5 voter registration fee) & it has the potential to change the dynamics on the ground for the Chareidi communities throughout Eretz Yisroel for decades to come.
For more details or information about the campaign, please contact EHK chairman Rabbi Pesach Lerner at (917) 209 8204 or at Lerner@EretzHakodesh.org
I hope that after becoming familiar with the crucial importance of this campaign, you will then encourage your baalei batim to sign up to become either a member or a delegate as soon as possible as the campaign is now in full swing.
May we be זוכה to bring about a קידוש שם שמים that will be a זכות for both ארץ ישראל & also תורת ישראל that will bring about the גאולה שלימה בקרוב ממש.
