Hon. Michael Pompeo
Secretary of State
The United States Department of State
Harry S Truman Bldng 2201 C Street NW
Washington, DC 20520

Dear Mr. Secretary;

The Rabbinical Alliance of America/Igud Horabbonim notes with chagrin the appalling action of 106 members of the United States House of Representatives, all members of the Democratic party, who issued a letter to you as Secretary of State, calling into question your conduct of foreign policy as an officer of the executive branch, and who serves at the pleasure of the President.

No need to remind that the policy of previous administrations classifying Jewish settlement in their own ancestral homeland in the lands of Judea and Samaria as being an impediment to peace. Thus far that policy has not brought Israel’s enemies to the peace table.

The State of Israel has shown good faith time and again relinquishing territory won in wars that they wished not to engage. Such action is in stark contrast to other nations who have preemptively attacked their neighbors capturing lands with total disregard for the territorial integrity of those neighbor states.

Israel, America’s most reliable ally in that part of the world, stands besieged not only by some of the most violent of enemies, but now is being besieged by a large group of the peoples representatives who are of the view that it is they, the legislative branch who conduct America’s foreign policy.

Thank G-d for President Donald J. Trump and yourself, Mr. Secretary of State, who base your foreign policy on the true interests of The United States. Finally we are proud to proclaim that we have a president and a secretary of state who are G-d fearing, who acknowledge G-d’s Biblical promise that constitutes specifically the ancient connection of the Jewish people to the land of Israel.

May the G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob bless the President and may G-d bless America.

Respectfully, I remain,

Rabbi Jacob Klass
Chairman, The Presidium,
Rabbinical Alliance of America
