The Coalition for Jewish Values asks you to sign this letter to Jeff Bezos

Urgent request from the Coalition for Jewish Values:

Rabbi,

I enclose here a letter which urgently needs your signature, which you can provide here.

The AmazonSmile charity gift program, which many of you may already use and benefit from, has been using the Southern Poverty Law Center’s “Hate Map” to identify charities to whom it will not donate.

The “Hate Map” is, in effect if not intent, anti-Semitic. It does not have a category for Muslim terrorist groups. It ties Anti-Semitism to any and every ideology you can imagine (including a few you’ve never heard of) except radical Islam. And it denies funding to numerous anti-terror organizations: ACT! for America (created by Brigitte Gabriel, who was personally used as a human shield to protect Hezbollah terrorists from the IDF), the David Horowitz Freedom Center (Horowitz got a “pro-Palestine” activist to admit on video that she endorsed genocide against all Jews), and Proclaiming Justice to the Nations (a Christian pro-Israel group).

The SPLC is collaborating with CAIR, an organization whose leaders have open Hamas ties, to determine who is hateful. This is an abomination.

Recently, members of the House of Representatives sent Mr. Bezos an inquiry regarding Amazon’s use of the SPLC list. We started work on a letter against the hate list nine months ago — and now it’s time to deliver (I apologize, this is a very serious matter, but humor is humor). A copy of our newly-revised letter is enclosed, and time is of the essence.

For this letter to have maximal effect and publicity, we need over 100 rabbinic signatories, and this is an opportunity for you. The letter as sent and publicized will have your name, position and institution. It will make you and your congregation part of the fight against anti-Semitism in a very real way, and it only takes a moment to sign.

Please sign here.
