Job Description

Minimum Qualifications

1. A Baccalaureate Degree issued upon completion of a four-year course in an accredited college or university; and,
2. Four years of full time, professional experience in a health or social agency in a responsible administrative or supervisory capacity, of which two years experience is to be in community service and/or public relations; or,
3. A Masters Degree from an accredited college or university, and three years of professional experience; or,
4. A satisfactory combination of education, training and experience.

2) Chaplaincy Position in Jewish Home at Rockleigh, in Rockleigh, NJ

Job Summary:

Looking for a caring, compassionate, attentive, innovative, progressive Jewish Chaplain to arrange and lead spiritual programming at the Jewish Home of Rockleigh.

The primary purpose of this full-time position is to ensure that comprehensive and meaningful spiritual, religious and personal, counseling and or guidance to residents, family members, and employees to ensure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times. Also, to conduct and/or coordinate religious services for residents of all faiths and provide innovative, holistic educational programs and in-services for residents and staff.

Duties: 

Education Requirements:

Must be ordained (by a universally recognized rabbinical organization) Rabbi and/or mashgiach (rabbinical dietary supervisor) and possess an advanced degree in chaplaincy, counseling, or social work with a specialization in Geriatrics.

Minimum 5 years experience in the field of chaplaincy.
